A jewel of 1930’s elegance, this French Norman home was left to neglect, then poorly restored. The client, upon purchase, desired an extensive updating which respected the house’s origins while providing for their family’s contemporary lifestyle, with a new Kitchen, Family Room, and Master’s Quarters. Turning the third floor attic into living space, the elliptical stairway was extended up, providing a dramatic centerpiece at the Entry. The resulting aesthetic is a blend of Parisian sophistication with the French country details of the original home. The architectural firm of record, Arnn Gordon Greineder, contributed significantly to this project.
